Hello, welcome, so glad youāre here.
Who I Am.
Hi, Iām Laura
Part dreamer, part doer. Inspired by nature, lover of old things with a passion for photography, champion of the under dog and believer in the power of kindness.
Vintage has always been a passion of mine and Iāve always liked to decorate my home using time worn pieces that tell a story. These days I prefer a simple, pared back style with plain, utilitarian, well made pieces, something youāll find amongst my offerings here.
Iām a rescuer (I think itās the love of the underdog thing) I collect items that are overlooked, discarded or unwanted and seeing the beauty in the well made, the simple and the time worn I bring them home to stay or to share here with you.
Iām also a creative, I like to make. Sometimes using vintage fabrics or materials that bring me joy. So overtime Iāll add items that Iāve made here in my workshop at the bottom of the garden and Iāll put them out into the world to see if they resonate with you my dear friends as nothing would give me more happiness than to know something that I created has found a new home and is loved.
What I Do.
Made + Found is a collection of good quality vintage homewares which have been sourced by me. Items too good to throw away have been given a new life here, where they can provide an alternative to buying new, encouraging a more sustainable way to live with beautiful often unique items which bring character to our homes.
Passionate about nature and protecting our environment I want to offer products with as little negative impact as possible. Vintage provides an opportunity for me to rescue, renew and showcase how once loved but forgotten items can not only be useful but bring beauty and personality to our homes.
Creatively Iām drawn to using preloved fabrics and nature finds in my work often dying recycled cotton with foraged botanicals. I make things by hand in small batches here in London on the edge of the forest, which has always been an inspiration to me. My aim is to create beautiful, unusual and sustainable items with as little impact to the planet as possible, things that will be treasured and maybe passed down to future generations.
